With deep gratitude I wish to tell others what Christian Science has done for me and what it can do for them. This Science was presented to me by a friend at a time when, due to World War II, I was separated from my family. Since I was very fearful about their welfare, I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner, who expressed so much love and compassion that I was healed of this fear after my first visit.

My family was exposed to many dangers under the occupation. This was particularly true of my brothers, who were all young. I kept my thoughts close to God and knew that God's children cannot be exposed to any danger. When the war was over, I got the first letter I had received from them in six years, informing me that all of them were well, despite hard years. I am deeply grateful for their protection.

A wonderful healing took place shortly after that. From earliest childhood I had suffered from a very painful ear trouble, which was particularly bad each year from September to the end of March, or until the weather became milder.
