The meeting was opened with the singing of Hymn No. 46 in the Christian Science Hymnal, "Day by day the manna fell." The chairman, Erwin D. Canham, Editor, The Christian Science Monitor, read the letter of greeting from The Christian Science Board of Directors and the keynote message from the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society.
