THE THOUGHT THAT LIFTS TO GOD
The
thought that lifts to God wings high,
Touching infinitude of Truth
From molecule to star, the while
Encompassing them both.
The thought that lifts to God has cast
The beam from out the clouded eye,
And with new light discerns the growth
Of its own clarity.
The thought that lifts to God awaits,
Reverent and poised and still,
Love's lightest stirring of the depths
And moves to do God's will.
