"PURITY THE PATH TO PERFECTION"
Through many ages the desirability of perfection in individuals has been emphasized. Moses, the great Hebrew Lawgiver, declared (Deut. 18:13), "Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God." And our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, set perfection as the goal for humanity to strive for when he demanded (Matt. 5:48), "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
The Master never set impossible tasks for his followers. He knew that the power of achievement comes from God and is available through spiritual understanding to all who seek God righteously.
Students of Christian Science have accepted as their goal the one set by Christ Jesus, spiritual perfection, and they strive daily in that direction. Their course is charted by Christian Science, which is in accord with the teachings of the Bible.
