THE CHRISTIAN SCIENTIST AND WORLD PEACE
In the book of Isaiah we read (26:2, 3): "Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
The attainment of lasting peace and good will among the nations of the world has long been humanity's prayer. Such universal prayer is greatly needed, and it will effectively play its part in the improvement of world conditions in the degree that it is based on the scientific premise of perfect God and perfect man. The validity of this premise is corroborated in the first chapter of Genesis and is vigorously reaffirmed in the teachings of Christian Science.
In this Science, we learn to know God as infinite, incorporeal Love, as the tender Father-Mother, governing His spiritual universe in perfect harmony. We see all men as His peaceful, loving children, enjoying the bliss of divine sonship and eternal brotherhood, forever free from any threat of war or conflict.
