For the growing awareness I have gained through Christian Science of the ever-presence, power, and love of God, I am deeply grateful. The study and application of this Science as set forth in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy have healed me of the smoking habit and social drinking, as well as of high blood pressure, hay fever, and colds. My being willing to drop a burden of false responsibility and to rely on God's ability brought about a better sense of proportion and resulted in the loss of seventy-five pounds of excess weight.

A sense of superiority which I had had for a long time disappeared, along with resentment and self-consciousness, when it was shown me that when one is self-conscious he is not God-conscious. In my work it is necessary for me to meet people easily, and now I can do so. I know that God's idea is always seen and that only God's qualities can be presented and recognized.

For membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, for the blessed privilege of class instruction, and for what Christian Science has done for the world, I am profoundly grateful.—(Mrs.) Alice R. Melrose, Quincy, Massachusetts.
