GOD IS LOVE
" 'God is Love.' More than this we cannot ask, higher we cannot look, farther we cannot go." We read these words on page 6 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, who demonstrated this fundamental truth in her own experience.
God, who is Love, divine intelligence, could not and does not think or work in terms of a beginning and an ending or of the appearing and disappearing phenomena of matter or mortal mind. To be real, to be known of God, a thought or a thing must be eternal.
The things of divine Mind are lovely and eternal because they are constituted of the elements and substance of that Mind, which is Love. Unselfishness, mercy, goodness, justice, and many other similar qualities are included in the infinite Mind, which Christian Scientists adore and obey.
