THE TWO OR THREE GATHERED TOGETHER

Serving on a committee in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, is a privilege and is the duty of each church member. This is one way he learns to go higher in his understanding of and service to God.

We read in Matthew that Christ Jesus said (18:20), "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Gathering together in service to a branch church has many aspects. Each experience should give opportunity for progress in Truth, unfold a lesson of Love, and contribute toward the understanding of Church.

Jesus was empowered to manifest the Christ, to speak the Word of God, and to heal those in need. He was ever attracting those who yearned for the touch of truth. Jesus accepted his high responsibility, and the truth of his words and their practical healing power are being demonstrated today in Christian Science.
