Christ Jesus said (John 8:31, 32), "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." In Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy we read (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."

In Christian Science we find that when we hold to Truth and know ourselves as actually spiritual ideas of God, reflecting His perfection, and not physical beings, we are freed from the problems that confront us. About a year ago a tiny growth on my leg became irritated, together with several other similar growths. I called a friend who is a Christian Science practitioner for comfort and counsel rather than for specific help. She told me to realize that a material growth cannot hold to or touch a spiritual idea of God.

I acknowledged and affirmed this truth. Within a short time these growths, together with a number of warts and skin imperfections that I had had since childhood, gradually dried up and fell off. How true is this verse from the Bible (Ps. 97:5): "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth."
