MAN'S HERITAGE OF GOOD

What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them," declared Christ Jesus (Mark 11:24). Christian Science teaches that as God's image and likeness, man has all good at all times. We can comprehend this in the measure that we understand God to be infinite omnipresent good and man to be His expression.

Only a false belief that we are separated from God, good, makes us seem to lack. We never have to wait to get any good thing— health, supply, harmonious relationship. We only have to become conscious of this fact: that we already possess all good by reflection. Such constant realization is true prayer in Christian Science and is inseparable from its answer.

Jesus did not say: "Believe that ye will receive them," but, "Believe that ye receive them." In other words, if we examine our thinking regarding some seeming lack in our experience, we may find that instead of believing that we are constantly receiving a heritage of all good from God, we are believing that we are not receiving it. Such thinking must be completely reversed.
