"MAN IS THE ULTIMATUM OF PERFECTION"

Man , in God's likeness, is the very ultimate of perfection. Since this is the fact, what logic is there in the assumption that man can really be out of order?

Perfection is the state of spiritual completeness, wholeness, and goodness. It is the spiritual fact concerning God, and it is the spiritual fact concerning God's creation. It is the state of reality existent in Mind, God. There is and can be no imperfection in that which is complete and good. The only things that are genuine, complete, and good are the things of Spirit, the infinite creations of God.

Man is perfect because he is the fulfillment, the objective of this pronouncement of God (Gen. 1: 26): "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." In Christian Science, God is known as Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love. God is not a power capable of creating that which is contrary to or the opposite of Himself, of originating that which is mortal or material. God not only could not create that which would materialize Himself or His creation, but He has no consciousness of the existence of that which denies His infinite divine nature.
