FORGIVENESS
Beloved
of God, forgive, forget.
The weight will lift; the breath come free,
As when the sun at eve has set
And crimson glory floods the sea;
The threatening waves and storms forgot,
Serene we rest, and fears come not.
When Job forgave and prayed for those
Whose arguments and words were vain,
He found release from all his foes;
His soul rejoiced; he lived again.
A Christly love the past can heal,
For Love divine alone is real.
