Celina, Ohio (First Church).

Members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Celina, togather with their many friends, observed the dedication of the new church building at 516 East Wayne Street on Sunday . . . .

At the identical services, held at 10.30 a.m., and 7.30 p.m., the following of the church was read: " In 1912 a small group of students of Christian Science first met to have services in their homes. These meetings were continued until February, 1928. At that time officers were elected and Christian Science Society established. Official recognition was given this society by The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in April, 1928. Services were continued under the title to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Celina, became official. . . . " In October, 1953, the members purchased the present site of the church property at 516 East Wayne Street. A Program to remodel the building on the site was soon started, and this work was completed in May, 1955. The formal opening of the newly remodeled church edifice was held on May 15, 1955.
