In Hebrews we read (4:12)...

In Hebrews we read (4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." These words have been proved true in my experience.

For a long time I had a cyst on my neck, and it became very noticeable. As I had not overcome this myself, I asked a practitioner for help in Christian Science. The practitioner helped me to see that this condition was no part of man. Many times I pondered a statement by Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, p. 242): "Self-love is more opaque than a solid body. In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,—self-will, self-justification, and self-love,—which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death." One day I realized that all that had to be dissolved was the belief in a selfhood apart from God. So each time the cyst came to my thought, I thanked God for my perfection as a child of God. Very soon the cyst opened and discharged. Later all remaining evidence of it disappeared.

My gratitude is unbounded for this healing and for many other blessings, including membership in The Mother Church and a branch church. To Mrs. Eddy, who gave to this age the healing truth, I can never be grateful enough.—(Miss) Harriet Elizabeth Chapman, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
