ATMOSPHERE

A Spiritual description of the atmosphere in which man abides is implied in Paul's words (Acts 17:28), "In [God] we live, and move, and have our being." The spiritual law of life in God effectively abolishes the supposition that man's health, happiness, and energy are controlled by atmospheric conditions, such as wind, air, temperature, or humidity.

One of the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal begins thus (No. 144):

In atmosphere of Love divine,
We live, and move, and breathe;
Though mortal eyes may see it not,
'Tis sense that would deceive.
