With a most grateful heart I thank God for Christian Science, which was presented to me while I was in a hospital. A friend called to see me and found me very much discouraged, as I had been sick for four years. When my friend got ready to leave, she said to me: "Don't be discouraged. Remember, when all material aid fails you, there is still something else." I asked her what she meant. She said she meant God, as He is understood in Christian Science.

I did not think much about her statement until after she had left; then I began to think a lot about it. In a few days I asked to go home. After I went home, a Christian Science practitioner was called. He treated me for three days, and on the fourth day I got up, dressed, and went to his office. I had not retained food for several months. He assured me that I could eat without further difficulty. I was completely healed that day of what doctors had said was either stomach ulcers or cancer of the stomach.

I had thirteen years of good health. Then I became ill with heart trouble. After some weeks of study and help from a practitioner I was healed. I am so grateful for these healings, and I only hope that I can help someone to know God better.
