THE PRACTITIONER

Obedient to our dear Master's plan,
you see in Science God's own image, man,
possessing by reflection radiant health,
immunity from sin, unstinted wealth.
In thus beholding Mind's idea, free
from error's mist-engendered fantasy,
you move the Adam dreamer to arise
and greet Truth's dawn with newly opened eyes.
You teach and prove that God has never sent
His children sickness, sin, discouragement.
Against the clashing winds of human will
you plant the law of Love, the "Peace, be still,"
and bravely hold before death's mask of night,
in consecrated hands, your lantern light.
