Signs of the Times

Dr. Leslie E. Cooke in an article in The Christian World London, England

Because of the resurrection we have entered upon a new life. The resurrection means that our world, our lives, are in the hands of God. Put it another way: it means that we only understand our world, our lives, when we acknowledge that they are subject to God's will and purpose. . . .

The resurrection means, too, that evil has been defeated. This is the unmistakable confidence of the Christian gospel. It rings out in the New Testament as clear as a bell. . . . Righteousness has been vindicated; light has triumphed over darkness.
