We read (Ps. 103:1), "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name." I have found that in the measure one praises or magnifies God, he in turn receives a blessing.

Particularly for the benefit of anyone whose healing has been delayed, I should like to tell of my experience. A number of years ago a cancerous condition began to be manifested on my face. At one stage even my eyes were touched by the disease, and my need was desperate. From time to time in reading the testimonies of healing in our periodicals I was heartened to read of healings of such a condition, and I persisted in my study of the truth as we find it revealed in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

During the years in which my healing was taking place I studied daily the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. In addition, I tried to put into practice, as far as I could, the many truths I read, clinging to them with great earnestness day and night. One afternoon, when fear was very active in my thought, I remained in my room for five hours ardently holding on to the thought of reality as divine Principle. Never after that time was the fear so distressing. On page 495 of Science and Health we read: "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought." I did my utmost to follow this instruction, for I felt that my healing would be manifested if I could be obedient to these words.
