I wish to add to the many printed expressions of thanks my gratitude for healings through Christian Science.

After my discharge from a tuberculosis sanatorium, the fear of this disease kept me from normal activities and made me a slave to materia medica for several years. I met a friend whose understanding of the Bible impressed me very much, as I had always wanted to understand this great book. This friend introduced me to Christian Science, and I bought the textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

While reading it I was healed of a serious bowel trouble of over twenty-five years' standing. Liver trouble and a nervous ailment were also healed. Fear of tuberculosis faded by degrees until it vanished.

I tried earnestly to follow the teachings of Christ Jesus, as explained in the inspired writings of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Soon I became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church. Afterward I had the privilege of class instruction. I am grateful to have served my branch church as First Reader for three years. Doctors had formerly said that I must never use my voice for public speaking or singing.

No words can express the joy I have in sharing with others this proof of God's love for His children. I thank God for Christ Jesus, whose sacred life gave to our Leader the true understanding of God. Likewise, I thank God for Mrs. Eddy, whose courage and compassion caused her to give us this practical religion. For the selfless love of practitioners, teachers, and other Christian Scientists, who work so nobly for the benefit of mankind, I am truly grateful.— (Mrs.) Ceridwen Hughes, Llandudno, North Wales.
