Progress in Church Building

"And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them" (Isa. 65:21). Church building activity brings growth to the church and its members, and the fruitage is abundant, as the following reports indicate.

From a church in the western part of the United States we received this report: "We are happy to announce that during the past year it was decided by the unanimous vote of the members of this church to renovate the exterior of our church building. The work has been accomplished, and our church edifice, which occupies a prominent corner in the heart of the city, presents an appearance of beauty and is bringing many expressions of appreciation from members of the community. We have also illuminated our stained glass windows from the inside, and this has greatly enhanced their loveliness. Unfoldment of our rehabilitation program continues on the interior of the church, and we rejoice and give thanks that the way has opened for these necessary steps to be taken. We sincerely feel this activity evidences the illumination in consciousness of the spiritual significance of Church, which is the primary motive in all our efforts."

A church in a large southern city in the United States writes: "Step by step we are proving the vitality of the promise of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' (p. 261), 'Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts.'
