I take this opportunity to thank God for Christian Science in the hope that someone may be benefited. Six years ago when I was going to have a baby, I decided to have Christian Science treatment. The baby was born very quickly and almost painlessly. This was the first time I had ever had Christian Science treatment, and great was my joy. I immediately began studying Science in earnest. Although I had a great deal of physical work to do on the farm, the more I studied, the better my work went; so I had more time to study. The hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal were and still are an inspiration to me.

During a struggle with impetigo I learned a valuable lesson. I had thrown away all my medicines except a new jar of salve. I knew it would not do me any good, but I thought I might give it to someone else. Finally I saw that if it was not good for me, it was not good for another. As soon as I threw that jar of salve away, the problem was solved.

When one of our children became ill with scarlet fever, I called for Christian Science help from a practitioner, and our child was well in two days. None of our other children caught the disease, and no further cases were reported. At another time the children all had measles, but were healed through Christian Science.
