It has been over three years now...

It has been over three years now since I left Korea after having served there on the central front for thirteen months. I cannot let any more time pass before I put into writing my humble and sincere gratitude for the hourly guidance and protection which were mine through my study of the truths of Christian Science.

I was blessed by being reared in a Science home and attending the Sunday School until I was twenty. The foundation which was given me there became a fortress so strong that during all my time on the Korean front I was able to see God's man clearly enough to protect myself and the men under my command.

To tell all of the beautiful experiences of protection would be impossible in this testimony, but I do want to share as many as I may take time for. Upon my arrival in Korea I was placed in a position of considerable responsibility, both to the men immediately under me and to our entire unit. During my first few months, there was very little action on the front. This gave me time to learn my job well and, in addition, to further spiritualize my thinking.
