I had the glorious privilege of...

I had the glorious privilege of being brought up in Christian Science, but not until I had been in a serious automobile accident was I really grateful for this truth. When my sight and bodily co-ordination did not return to normal, I realized that I must work to know more of God and man, instead of relying on someone else's work, as I had always done in the past. In a short time all was again harmonious, and I was able to resume my studies.

I am most grateful that I am learning more each day how to listen for God's directing and to follow His will instead of my personal desires. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 242), "In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,—self-will, self-justification, and self-love,—which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death." These words have been of great help to me in working out the problem of self-will.

Christian Science has brought me the companionship of a husband who is a devoted worker in our branch church. Our two children were both born at home very harmoniously. They have had the blessing of Sunday School teaching since early childhood, and the truths they are learning are helping them to make right decisions with regared to the social activities of this modern world.
