I could never express in words...
I could never express in words my gratitude for Christian Science. During the thirty-five years since taking up the study of it, I have had many proofs of God's loving care. Physical difficulties have been healed, sorrow at the passing on of loved ones has been overcome, protection from accidents has been experienced, and guidance in finding employment has been mine.
About ten years ago my husband and I had to find a home in a large city where apartments were not sufficient to meet the demand. We clung to the Bible promises (John 14:2), "In my Father's house are many mansions. ... I go to prepare a place for you," and (Isa. 30:21), "Thine ears shall hear aword behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it." It was the fall of the year, and some friends gave us permission to occupy their apartment for six months while they went south. Through our work to see Mind's unfoldment and guidance we were offered opportunities to obtain both apartments and houses. Our desire was to be where we could best serve God, and by keeping mere human desires out of our decisions, we knew that we would be rightly guided.
When we found what we felt was the right place for us, we had but six weeks left to vacate the apartment we were occupying, but we knew that God was working His purpose out and would take care of all of the details. The tenants in the house we chose wanted to move to a place of their own, but they said that places were hard to find. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 206), "In the scientific relation of God to man, we find that whatever blesses one blesses all, as Jesus showed with the loaves and the fishes,—Spirit, not matter, being the source of supply." So it proved in our case, for the tenants found just what they wanted. This unfoldment came in about two weeks' time, making it possible for us to have a month to do some remodeling and decorating before moving into the house. In this unfoldment not just my husband and I were blessed, but others also.
