Christian Science has meant everything to me throughout my life. It has helped me in all situations, and I am grateful for a religion that can be used effectively in the minutiae of daily life. With daily evidences of the efficacy of this Science, I find it difficult to choose which might be of the most help to others. The following have been particularly helpful to me.

One night after the other members of the household were asleep I experienced such mental turmoil that I thought I was losing my mind. I did not want to disturb the other members of the family by turning on a light to read, but I felt greatly in need of help. I endeavored to make declarations of Truth that would meet the situation, but my thinking was in such a state that the ideas were not clear. In my extremity I pleaded silently, "Dear God, help me!" Immediately it was as if a curtain shut out all turmoil, and peace and calm came to me. Thus I learned of God's nearness and ever-presence.
