I have relied on Christian Science...

I have relied on Christian Science for healing since I was four years old. My mother said that it was the most wonderful gift that her children could receive, and it has proved so to me. What material gift could meet every need, such as physical healing, protection, guidance, supply, joy, and a peace of mind that comes as a result of radical reliance on one Mind, our Father-Mother God? Understanding Christian Science to be an exact Science and knowing God to be Principle have given me positive assurance of the unchanging power of God's Word in the Bible. One demonstration of Principle assures us of the certainty that God meets every need.

I have had proofs of the one Mind operating in daily affairs, such as the overcoming of discordant human relationships, finding lost articles, and achieving success in schoolwork and teaching. This dominion has come through my accepting the qualities of love, humility, meekness, gratitude, and intelligence as rightfully mine, because they are God-bestowed.

In times of great stress healing has come through radical reliance on God, who has always proved to be my refuge and strength. When my car skidded and turned over on a clay road, I firmly declared the allness of God. Although I had to climb out of a window, because the car was on its side, I was unharmed and was able to drive home after the car had been righted. I have been healed of ptomaine poisoning, acute indigestion, sore throat, tonsillitis, colds, and hay fever, as well as of grief at the passing of dear ones. Some of the healings have come through my own application of the truth and others through the help of practitioners.
