Christ Jesus said (John 8:32)...

Christ Jesus said (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." As I pondered this simple yet fundamental fact I was freed from grief at the passing of a loved one. I reasoned thus about Jesus' statement that the truth would make us free: Free from what? Free from the belief of apartness from the one divine Father-Mother Love. Free from every illusive, erroneous suggestion of mortal belief. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "the scientific statement of being," on page 468 of Science and Health, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." It is impossible to have all plus something more. If we really know that God is the only creator and that He creates only good, we can see dearly that sickness and death are not included in the allness, or goodness, of God. Therefore we cannot be deceived by mortal sense lies.

I saw that the beautiful spiritual qualities which the loved one reflected are in reality the qualities of Christ, Truth. These Christlike qualities are forever being reflected and are eternally with us, as Life is eternal and ever present.

It is my desire to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science, which gives us the understanding of true being and corrects all false beliefs. I am deeply grateful for the pure consciousness of our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whom God's scientific law of being was given to the world in an understandable and usable manner. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, for class instruction, and for the love which is ever flowing from the pure fountain of Christ, Truth.—(Mrs.) Cecelia B. Chrisler, Vienna, Virginia.
