That my fellow men may be...

That my fellow men may be strengthened in their spiritual progress Godward, just as I have been through reading the testimonies of others, I humbly submit my own offering.

Immediately after high school graduation and while still a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School, I received a call to serve with the Armed Forces during World War II. For the first nine months I was stationed near a community which afforded me the fruitful opportunity of attending not only a Christian Science Sunday School, but also the Sunday services and the Wednesday evening testimony meetings. At this point in my experience I began to realize what a far-reaching influence Christian Science can have in a young man's life. I shall always be grateful for the Christian Science Wartime Minister assigned to our camp area. His deep love for Science and his consecration to its practice had a marked effect for good upon my early growth as a student of this Science.

During this time I became a member of The Mother Church, a step which has enabled me to be more active in our great movement. Much unfoldment of good has followed, and only God can fully know my gratitude for this treasured privilege.
