As it has to many others, Christian Science...

As it has to many others, Christian Science has brought to me the great joy of a life revolutionized and blessed by a practical and certain way of living. Although I investigated its teaching merely out of gratitude for what it had done for a sister, I soon learned that it contained what I most vitally needed. I did not comprehend the profundity of what I read, I did recognize and accept unquestionably its irrefutable spiritual truths. Soon I put into practice what little I understood and had astonishingly good results.

Then came a testing time during the depression, when my income was not ample. This was a time for learning many needed lessons. Pride and human outlining had to be replaced with humility, willingness to serve God in whatever capacity, and full reliance on God alone. Step by step, opportunities came for me to utilize hitherto unknown abilities. Then the idea presented itself to establish my own business. The success of this new venture was the result of unwavering dependence on God, and the years that have followed have amply proved His omnipresence, wisdom, and guidance. I have found the business world a fertile ground to prove the practical teachings of Christian Science.

Class instruction brought a clearer realization of the purity and unity of God and man, which continues to guide and bless each forward step. On page 60 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy tells us, "Kindred tastes, motives, and aspirations are necessary to the formation of a happy and permanent companionship." Companionship and a happy home have been established and are bringing me much joy.
