TRUE WORSHIP

Christian Science reveals the allness of God, Spirit. In order to worship aright we should therefore ask ourselves, "Do I acknowledge Spirit or matter as the only presence and power?" A searching of human consciousness sometimes discloses that we are worshiping incorrectly, for we are giving reality, substance, and power in our thought to matter, which is the very opposite of Spirit, God.

Christian Science reveals that every human problem is the result of false worship—the belief that Spirit, God, is not infinite, omnipresent, and omnipotent. It also shows us how to experience harmony in our human affairs through worshiping God aright, by acknowledging as real only the one infinite Mind, God, and its universe of perfect spiritual ideas.

Obedience to good brings good into our experience. As St. Paul wrote to the Romans (6:16), "To whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness."
