ANGELS

Angels, or holy messages from God, have always come to men in their hour of need to protect and comfort them. They came to Joseph when he was chosen for the high mission of protecting the child Jesus. Matthew tells us (2:13), "Behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him."

Joseph did as he was told and remained in Egypt, away from his own country, until the danger was past; then an angel appeared again and said, "Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life." And we are told that "he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel."

Today parents need to keep angel messages ever with them to counteract the false and fearful threats contained in descriptions of so-called children's diseases. Messages such as (Ps. 91:10), "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling," and (II Tim. 1:7), "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind," are but a few of the many angelic promises to be proved.
