After reading the testimonies in a Sentinel, I felt that I should write one, giving another proof of what Christian Science can do for us, even after all material means have failed.

About forty years ago I was lying in a hospital and was not expected to live through the night. A Christian Science friend, hearing of my condition, came to the hospital and at my request prayerfully worked for me. As a result, in a remarkably short time I was able to be removed to my sister's home, where I gained strength rapidly and was able to resume a normal, active, useful life. Thanks to Christian Science, at an advanced age I am still active and useful, although I have had to overcome many trying conditions, including a case of partial paralysis.

By holding to the thought that man is under divine protection and can receive no injury, I was wonderfully protected when thrown violently against a swinging door, in such a position that I might have been badly injured. I experienced no bad effects and was in my place in church the next day.
