RADIO PROGRAM No. 29 - The Way to Right Decisions

On this program John T. Heckel of Indianapolis, Indiana, told of his own experience, as follows:

Some years ago I was helping to work out the consolidation of several plants in different cities which produced similar products. We wanted to consolidate all the operations in our most modern plant for more effective operation. This would result in our having to carry out our manufacturing operations in greatly reduced floor space. While the products used the same raw materials, they did require separate processing and packaging materials.

When I visited each plant to survey the requirements, I listened to all the reasons why the proposed step was considered impossible. I came back convinced it couldn't be done. It looked like a problem without a solution.
