East Coast—A "new man"

An Army officer was sent to a hospital at an Air Force base because of a physical difficulty. In an attempt to diagnose his condition, the doctors tried many tests, but being unable to find a cause for his suffering, they were baffled. The officer, being a student of Christian Science, asked to see the Christian Science Minister, who was promptly called.

Although the officer had known of Christian Science for many years, his interest had lessened to the degree that he was not studying its teachings. For this indifference, the officer was suffering self-condemnation. Further, he was not happy in his work and had allowed resentment over what he considered unjust placement to cloud his thinking about himself and his associates as well.
