Through Christian Science I was healed of gall bladder trouble and general debility, for which I had been under medical treatment for about two years. The doctors had lost all hope that I could live. At this time I asked to have Christian Science treatment. My healing was slow but steady, and it has been permanent.

Since that time I have had many other healings. One that has been an inspiration to me along the way was the healing of the need of wearing glasses, which I had worn about fifteen years for reading and close work. I could see clearly through the glasses, but I began having pain in my temples when I read for more than a few minutes.

It seemed that the glasses should be changed, and I consulted an oculist who, after an examination, said my eyes would have to be treated before he could fit me with glasses. He sent me to an eye specialist, who told me that there was trouble with the optic nerve and advised special treatment, to which I did not submit. Work was taken up by a Christian Science practitioner, but the condition did not yield, and dark spots appeared before my eyes.
