THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE NURSE

Those who have experienced the healing ministrations of the Christian Science nurse have felt the touch of that Christlike love which is a manifestation of God.

The Christian Science nurse is motivated by love for God and man. This love, which is spiritual, is one flowing out from its divine source, God, and encompassing all things. This spiritual affection or love underlies all the human activities of the Christian Science nurse and endows her with unerring spiritual instinct equal to the needs of the moment and of the individual. It is this love which enables her to hold clearly in thought the idea of perfect God and perfect man, while undertaking the practical duties required in a sickroom.

This spiritual ministering love touches thought to spiritual issues only. It has nothing of the dead weight of personal attachment, inquisitiveness, criticism, or condemnation. One struggling to rise above a sense of pain in matter, endeavoring to leave mortal concepts for spiritual heights, shrinks from the touch of personal sense.
