THE CHALLENGE OF CONSISTENCY

To those in need of strength, comfort, and stability Christian Science offers a practical solution. When honestly applied, it solves difficulties of every description. It is scientific in its method, orderly in its practice, and effective in its proof. Harmonious results from Christian Science treatment are not mere coincidence, but are the natural consequence of the application of divine logic.

Successful practice of Christian Science is not mechanical exercise, impractical theorizing. Spiritualized thinking is essential and must be manifested in daily living in such qualities as graciousness and loving-kindness. Isolated proofs of the efficacy of Christian Science are not alone sufficient to ensure continued growth, no matter how gratifying they may be. Scientific progress demands constant, conscientious endeavor.

In absolute Christian Science, man is seen as the image and likeness of God. He reflects continuously God's completeness and perfection. In this perfect reflection there can be no deviation, distortion, or inconsistency. Spiritual man is forever consistent because he is always the expression of indivisible Life, immutable Truth, eternal Love. As these spiritual facts are maintained and demonstrated, irregularities of thought and conduct are eliminated from human experience and the orderly unfoldment of true being is seen. Consistency is fundamental in Christian Science practice and presents a challenge to every Christian Scientist.
