My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science occurred when I was eleven years old. The difficulty was mastoiditis. The physician my parents called declared that only an immediate operation would aid me. My aunt, who was a Christian Scientist, recommended the help of a practitioner. The practitioner was called, and the healing was manifested within three days. However, my family did not at that time earnestly take up the study of Christian Science.

About four years ago with the help of a loving practitioner I began to glimpse the true nature of God and man. The marvelous healings experienced by me and my family since that time can hardly be listed. We have been healed of colds, headaches, hemorrhoids, backache, and sore throat. My mother was instantaneously healed of a severe heart attack, and discordant conditions in the home were made harmonious.

Our oldest son spent four years in the Navy and a good share of that time along the Korean coast. By leaving him in God's care I found the time was one of spiritual growth rather than of human worry. About two years ago this boy and a friend were riding a motorcycle in front of a car in which our son's aunt and uncle were riding. The motorcycle went off the edge of the pavement and hit a rock, throwing the boys off the machine and through the air. The aunt, an earnest student of Christian Science, at once prayed to know the unreality of the accident. When she reached the boys she had great cause for rejoicing, for they were unhurt except for a few scratches and bruises.
