MY PRAYER

Teach me to see
The straight and narrow way that I should go.
Whether through darkest gloom or trial it be,
Let me but know
Thou art the way.

Teach me to hear
Thy voice in the silent midnight hour
And willingly respond; here
Will I trust Thy wisdom, love, and power,
For Thou art all.

Teach me to speak
The truth in every daily phase
Of life; and in all things but seek
Thy name to praise.
Thou art my God.

Teach me to do
In all things, great and small, Thy will;
And give me grace and strength through
Which to meet the strife with "Peace, be still."
Thou art my Guide.

Teach me to know
Thy plan for me is best;
And lead me in Thy pathway, so
That I my part may do and leave to Thee the rest,
And pray, "Thy will be done."
