"AND LOVE IS REFLECTED IN LOVE"

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Ronnie went to live near another boy called Brian, and the two soon became friends. They walked to school together every morning along a pleasant country road, and they came home from school together at dinnertime. The one who was ready first after dinner would run out into the road to look for the other so that they could go back to school together.

One Friday morning as they were coming home from school Brian suddenly began to be very unkind and quarrelsome, and soon he gave Ronnie a hard push which sent him staggering into a patch of stinging nettles at the roadside. The nettle stings seemed so painful that Ronnie ran home crying.

When his mother heard what had happened she tried to help and comfort Ronnie by reminding him of the spiritual truths he had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School; but Ronnie felt angry and resentful towards Brian, and the nettle stings seemed to be hurting very badly.
