The most wonderful healing I have experienced was that of acute rheumatic fever. The doctors had given me up as hopeless when a Christian Science practitioner was called. Within a short time I was completely free and have remained so. Through the study and application of Christian Science I have had numerous other healings, including those of colds, headaches, and a broken shoulder bone, which was healed within a short time without the use of a cast.

During World War II while I was overseas with the armed forces of our country my protection from the enemy was cause for much gratitude. A throat condition, which made it impossible for me to swallow, completely disappeared after I had wired a practitioner for help. This proved that the healing power of Christian Science is not limited by distance.

I wish to express my humble gratitude for the comfort that I received during the passing of a dear one. This sentence was very helpful (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, pp. 222, 223): "We must destroy the false belief that life and intelligence are in matter, and plant ourselves upon what is pure and perfect." I am most grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for Sunday School training, and for The Christian Science Monitor Youth Forum, in which I have been active. Through this Forum I have found companionship and a happy home.
