Through Christian Science my great-grandmother was healed of cancer, and all her family became students of this Science. My mother studied it also, and I was born with the help of Christian Science treatment. As a high school student I was healed of a curvature of the spine by my aunt's affirming that man is upright. When I manifested symptoms of tuberculosis I was required to undergo an examination for this disease. A week before the date of the examination I had the help of a Christian Science practitioner and was well by the time the examination was made. The doctor found scars on my lungs and said that I had had tuberculosis at some time but had been healed of it. I attribute the healing to Christian Science, as I did not have medical treatment.

While having Christian Science treatment for influenza I read an article in The Christian Science Journal about the three young Hebrews in the furnace. It told of their coming out without even the taint of fire on them. I knew that in reality I could not have even the taint of disease on me and that it need not take time for me to get better. I immediately felt entirely well, got up, and went shopping. There were no ill effects.

Through our daily study of Christian Science our family has been protected from sickness and accident, and we have had few discordant conditions to overcome. The children were healed quickly of chicken pox and measles. One child, when a baby, suffered from a fungus growth that spread over its body. A practitioner took up the thought of spiritual growth, and the child was healed in a few days. The growth beside her eye had made that eye much larger than the other, but with the disappearence of the growth the eye became normal. When another child had a cold the healing came in a few hours by my studying and affirming the truths on pages 390 to 393 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Four babies were born with very little discomfort, one of them with no pain at all.
