My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science came when I knew very little of its teachings. All that I recall about the first lecture on Christian Science which I attended was that the woman who was lecturing seemed pretty confident that she knew what she was talking about. One week later the words of another lecturer aroused my thought. He said, "Never let anyone tell you that you will be better looking wearing glasses." Six years previously I had been told that I would look better with glasses, and I had begun wearing them. After I had worn them for a while, an eye specialist told me that they had become necessary.

The morning after the second lecture I arose and began reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. When I had finished reading the chapter on Prayer I suddenly realized that the reading had been done without the aid of my glasses. The healing was complete, and I have enjoyed normal vision without glasses for the past five years, seeing better than at any previous time.

Shortly after this experience the desire for liquor and tobacco left me. Also chronic indigestion was healed through the work of a practitioner. About one hundred and fifty thousand miles of traveling have been done without my even having seen an accident. Christian Science is answering my sincere desire for good.
