It is indeed a joy to record in a Christian Science periodical my gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. My first healing in Christian Science came after it appeared that I had less than three months to live. The condition was met in a short time through the help of a loving practitioner.

About twenty years ago I was healed of the cigarette habit and of profanity, both of many years' standing. Since then there has been no desire either to smoke or to use profane language. I have been healed of broken bones, stomach disorder, skin trouble, toothache, and many other conditions. In times of storms and accidents I have been divinely protected. Divine Principle has been my only physician since 1931. I am very grateful for an understanding of Truth which enables me to do prayerful metaphysical work for myself and others.

About five years ago lightning struck one of my prettiest trees. One of my friends said that would be the last of it, but I worked prayerfully as we are taught to do in Christian Science. Of several hundred trees on my grounds today it is the most beautiful.
