VICTORY IS ASSURED
As Christian Scientists we know that when the truth is spoken something occurs in our human experience—and what occurs is good. When God's allness and perfection are acknowledged, when the eternal operation of Mind's law of right adjustment is declared, when man's receptivity to harmony is affirmed, regeneration and healing must follow.
This acknowledgment of God's presence which brings healing signals an awakening within the human consciousness. It is the so-called called mortal mind, seeking to leave the creator out of His creation, which disappears in this awakening. The patient begins to see that Mind is never absent, that man is never separated from good, and that the victorious nature of God, which is always triumphant over evil, means something very important. It means that the one who understands man as made in the image and likeness of God is always able to prove the triumph of good over evil. And that victory is now, not in the future.
The acknowledgment of the truth without the application of it to human needs is not of itself enough. It is the utilization of this truth in daily experience which is most important—a demonstration that results in better, happier, and healthier human beings. Therein, through the understanding of the Principle of Christian Science as revealed to us by Mary Baker Eddy, lies the victory.
