I wish to express my gratitude for a recent noonday lecture I heard and for a healing of adhesions which I experienced shortly afterward. I had suffered for many years from this condition, which was said to be the result of an operation. It had become so much a part of my experience that I did not think of requesting metaphysical treatment for it after I came into Christian Science.

On the day of the lecture I felt that mortal mind was trying to keep me away. I did not feel that I had the time to attend a noonday lecture. After I had made up my mind to go I experienced difficulty in finding the way. Nevertheless, I arrived at the lecture only about five minutes late; and once there I was very attentive to what was said and received much good from it. I was very grateful to see that it was so well attended.

Shortly after returning home from the lecture I found myself in much pain and had to go to bed. Some three hours later I awakened still in pain. Then I remembered hearing the lecturer say that man cannot for a single moment be separated from the Father. At that very instant I felt the adhesions loosen, and within less than twenty minutes I was completely free. I was able to keep an engagement that evening and have experienced no further difficulty of that kind.
