God has done great things for me, and in gratitude I wish to tell of some of them. We came to Christian Science for help after we had tried elsewhere and received only dire prophecy. Our two children manifested mastoiditis. One of them had seven abscesses during one winter; the other had eight. We tried every form of treatment we knew of: medicine, surgery, serum, electricity, and osteopathy. All of them failed, and the verdict was pronounced that both children would lose their hearing.

Only then, as a last resort, we humbly but somewhat doubtfully asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. The children were both completely healed. How can I express the gratitude I feel for these healings or for the change in my own life from hopelessness to gladness?

Since that time, over thirty years ago, I have had many healings. Chronic sore throat was healed during the first service I attended in a Church of Christ, Scientist. Other healings are those of fallen arches, nervous exhaustion, frequent sick headaches, constipation, a shattered kneecap, and much fear. Glasses which I had worn since I was seven years old were put away; and in serious automobile accidents I came through without a scratch.
