When I was a child Christian Science healed me of the fear of a judgment day in which the earth would be destroyed by fire and brimstone. The fear dissolved so gently that I was not aware of my release at the time. This healing came through attendance at the Sunday services of a Church of Christ, Scientist. I did not go there for healing but out of curiosity. However, after the first service I had never a doubt that Christian Science is the religion of Christ Jesus and that it does help mankind in the way our Master did.

Since that first healing so many blessings have come to me and my family that they cannot be enumerated. As a girl I was healed of malaria and of the belief that certain kinds of food made me ill. As a young woman I was healed through Christian Science of the symptoms of tuberculosis. After I married I studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, more faithfully than ever before. When my second baby came only my mother and my husband were present. No drugs or material means were employed at any time. We relied wholly upon our understanding of God. The birth was harmonious. Three days later I was doing part of the housework and caring for both children.

When typhoid fever attacked our son a Christian Science practitioner was called. The complete healing did not come quickly. It was more than a month before discouragement gave way to joyous anticipation through the faithful work of the practitioner. Then the healing was realized, and there have never been any erroneous aftereffects.
