CLAIMING IMMUNITY

In a certain city there was once an armed conflict in progress, in the course of which some danger threatened one who was another nation's representative there. International law, however, was obeyed, and this consul and his household were unharmed. It had been recognized that the diplomat could claim diplomatic immunity from disorders within the country where he was sojourning.

The above experience may be likened to what through Christian Science is becoming an increasingly frequent occurrence among men. Thousands in many parts of the world are now proving that by acting in accord with the divine law which Christ Jesus taught and demonstrated, individuals can prove man's dominion and thus realize their God-given immunity from threatening conditions.

By inspiration and example our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, makes it clear in her writings that the way to escape from evil is to gain the concept of God as divinely ever present, infinitely powerful, and all-knowing, and to reach the concept of man as the spiritual reflection of this loving Father-Mother. When these concepts are attained, one knows his true selfhood to be forever protected from whatever seems harmful in any form or degree.
